Nordic countries with their northern lights that make us all dream have interminable winters with 6 months of night. But these countries also have a culinary culture that merits being discovered.
Scandinavian food favours products straight from nature: berries, mushrooms, wild game (elk, reindeer, etc.) and of course fish in all forms (smoked, dried, marinated, salted, etc.).
If you are more rash, you can try hung shark, smoked mackerel, seagull eggs or even sheep balls.
Note that these countries have a great sandwich culture, often comprised of fish, cheese or cold cuts without forgetting tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. These sandwiches are made with polar bread or polarbröd.
