Back by popular demand Darégal is repeating the Aromatic Herb World championship in a kitchen on May 31 and June 1 in Milly-la-Forêt with the great French chef Guy Savoy as this year’s sponsor.
Guy Savoy was awarded his first Michelin star in 1981 for his Guy Savoy restaurant, rue Duret in Paris. He will then get his 2nd one in 1985.
The restaurant moves rue Troyon in 1987 and gets its 3rd star in 2002.
Guy Savoy has recently opened restaurants in Las Vegas and Doha.
He is a generous and aesthete chef who describes cooking as “the art to instantly turn produce full of history into happiness”.

The challenges will be varied, simple and full of passion!
Throughout those 2 days, more than 150 “4 hand”cooking teams made up of 1 adult and 1 child will compete in cooking challenges to create and even to recreate:
- The Best Sandwich in the World
- The best Sweet Verrine on the Planet
- The Best Salad in the Universe
- The Best Cocktail of the Night
- The Best Savoury Verrine on the Globe
- The Best salad Dressing on Earth
- And a secret “Special Brazil” challenge
The jury will consist of profesionals and passionate amateurs.
The winning team in each category will be selected by a jury for their creativity and the culinary wealth of their proposed recipes.
The jury will be chaired by Caroline DARBONNE, writer of 29 recipe books and as creative and passionate with aromatic herbs as ever. True to her image “Proud to love her food”, her biggest achievement is to pass her culinary knowledge onto kids. Caroline is the Cordon Bleu of the family and that’s why her grandkids have given her the nickname of “Magic Carotte”.
